Layla Roy Wins, Kayla and Therin medals at American Challenge RYC

Lalya has been constantly improving and her latest result solidified her position as one of the top y12 foil fencers in the region. She started the tournament strong with a 5-1 record. She was then seated 4th entering the Direct Elimination round. Layla went on to win her next 3 bouts with impressive scores. Her semi final bout was against the #1 seed and she was able to outscore her opponent 15-13. In the final Layla continued her win streak to take the final bout 15-3. Therin Jurman finished 3rd in the yout 10 foil competition where close to 40 fencers participated. Kayla Shaw finished 6th in the Youth 14 tournament out of 64 fencers. All 3 fencers above earned numerous regional medals this season. The RFC coaches are very happy for their great improvement and continuous success this year.
