Day 4 Olympic Fencing: Mens Epee

In the men's epee tournament Geza Imre from Hungary and Sangyoung Park fenced for the gold. Park defeated Imre in stunning fashion to become the 2016 Olympic Gold medalist. Imre looked dominant and held a 14-10 lead till Park mounted a come back and in the final round he tied the score and went on to win 15-14.

In the bronze medal match Grumier Gauthier from France who came in as the highest ranked fencer beat Benjamin Steffen from Switzerland 15-11.

Earlier in the day Steffen defeated Jason Pryor the only qualifier from the States. They fenced a great bout with a final score of 15-14. Pryor finished 22nd.

Tomorrow will be the first day with 2 fencing tournaments. Women's foil and men's saber fencers will compete. The U.S team has great chances to medal between those 2 tournaments.
